Flowgrids Limited is managed by a senior leadership team committed to our vision, “delivery of integrated geosciences and reservoir engineering (GSR) services to our clients in the most professional way without compromise”. We are passionate about creating “a center of excellence in mentorship and exposure for young professionals.”
Engr. Musbau Olalekan Lawal is the founding Executive Director of Operations of Flowgrids Ltd.
His 35-year oilfield career started as a young Well Testing Field Engineer with Schlumberger Oilfield Services in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. For 25 years, Engr. Lawal moved through various departments in Schlumberger where he developed strong technical knowledge and managerial skills to become Field Service Manager for cased-hole services in Abu Dhabi, Cased-hole training instructor in the UK, business development manager, and Production and Perforation Domain Champion as a petrotechnical expert in the Data and Consulting Services. He has worked in Africa, Europe and Asia, and demonstrated superior technical, operational and managerial skills with experience in production, well operations, and reservoir engineering. His areas of expertise include oil and gas field study and development projects for production optimization, surface well testing and logging, well intervention programs and services, work contract and tender, bidding and cost estimation, client technical support and relations management, wellsite and rigsite operations supervision and technical support, cased-hole services job and program design and production logging data interpretation. He provides classroom and on the job training in all aspects of cased-hole services including tools technology, physical and technical characteristics, principles of operation, data acquisition and quality control. Engr. Lawal graduated from the University of Ibadan with a B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering in 1984. He received a Federal Government Merit Award while at the University of Ibadan; this award is given to the best students in each department and he retained it for the length of the course. He has received an SPE Service Award from SPE Congo Section and was a board member of SPE Congo from 2008 to 2010. He has lived and worked in different parts of the world including Algeria, Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, India, Oman, and the United Kingdom. He is an active member of SPE and the Nigeria Society of Engineers. Engr. Lawal is married and has five children.
