Flowgrids Limited is managed by a senior leadership team committed to our vision, “delivery of integrated geosciences and reservoir engineering (GSR) services to our clients in the most professional way without compromise”. We are passionate about creating “a center of excellence in mentorship and exposure for young professionals.
Engr. Dauda Aleokhai Musa (popularly known as Alek) is the founding Managing Director and CEO of Flowgrids Limited. His passion for reservoir engineering and geosciences and commitment to mentoring of young professionals were the catalysts to the establishment of Flowgrids in 2011 after his retirement as the Deputy Managing Director (Corporate) of Total Upstream Companies of Nigeria. His 29-year career with Total spans many technical and managerial positions in Nigeria and Europe. He served as Reservoir Engineering Manager(1995-2001); General Manager, Geosciences & Reservoir Engineering (2001-2005); Executive General Manager Corporate Development & Services (2005-2008) and Deputy Managing Director(2008-2010). He started his oilfield career as a field engineer with Schlumberger in 1979.
Engr. Musa is a distinguished member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) since 2015; and he is the current Chairman of the SPE Nigerian Council Board of Trustees. He has served as the African Regional Director of SPE (2009-2012). Engr. Musa is a fellow of both the Institute of Petroleum Studies, University of Port Harcourt, and the Nigeria Association of Petroleum Explorationists—American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) affiliate in Nigeria. He received a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and post-graduate training in Geosciences & Reservoir Engineering at the IFP (Institut du Petrole) in Paris, France. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers. Engr. Musa is married and has grown-up with children. His passion for golf is equal or just one level lower than that for reservoir engineering.
